Overview

Interprets consultations between clients and professionals in medical and psychosocial programs. Functions as a bridge between professionals and clients, translating from Arabic or Farsi to English and vice versa.

Tasks Summary

• Translate medical and/or psychological consultations.
• Interpret consultations and group sessions from Arabic or Farsi to English and vice versa.
• Interpret MHPSS and medical consultations.

Experience Requirements

• Experience with interpreting.
• Experience with translation of medical or psychological consultations is a plus.
• Experience in an international, humanitarian context is preferred.

Qualification Requirements

• Native speaker of or fluent in Farsi or Arabic.
• Speak English at least at the level of B1 or higher.
• Completed a relevant training course for interpretation or cultural mediation is a plus.

Other Details

Languages Required: Farsi or Arabic (Fosha, Sudanese, Yemeni, or the Levantine dialect is preferred)

Contract Duration: At least 3 weeks
