Key Responsibilities
  • Come to Karviná and become a volunteer for socio-therapeutic workshop. It is a center for adults with chronic mental illness, mental or combined disabilities (18 - 65 years). Its mission is to help service users to gain and maintain work habits. ACTIVITIES: You will support and assist clients during various therapeutic workshops, for instance pottery, creative workshop and basketry workshop. You will learn several creative techniques such as basket weaving, clay work, plastic work, jewelry making, wool work, canvas painting, collage, marbling or encaustic. You and the client will produce a lot of small gifts and decorations. You will participate in other group therapy sessions such as music, art or morning devotions. You will practice social skills with clients by speaking to them about various topics. You will have the opportunity to talk about your country or teach clients the basics of a foreign language.
