Overview

Responsible for the design, implementation, support, and maintenance of all databases, datalake, and ETL infrastructures. Drives innovation in data management by assessing new technologies.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manages the technical lifecycle of databases and datalake.
  • Recommends modifications to standards based on current knowledge of technologies.
  • Creates technical design documentation including database design models.
  • Defines operational procedures to guarantee SLAs and operational requirements.
  • Participates in the definition and enforcement of data governance rules.
  • Organizes data administration auditing procedures.
  • Provides troubleshooting analysis skills for databases.
  • Defines standards for database performance, data processing performance, and monitoring.
  • Enforces data processing security requirements.
  • Defines roadmaps to prevent technological obsolescence and manage environment security.
  • Manages training for the data team around DRP management.
  • Updates operational procedures around data management.
Required Experience

Minimum of 7 years in IT, including at least 5 years in Database design and operations in a multiple datacenters and mission critical environment. Experience in Lakehouse or Datamart design and implementation.

Qualifications

University degree (3 to 4 years) in computer science, Engineering or equivalent field is preferred. Internationally recognized certifications in Database field. ITIL Certification.

Working knowledge of English is required.
Languages Preferred
Fluency in English is highly desirable. Proficiency as second official working language of the Organization (Arabic, French or Spanish) would be an additional asset.
