National Project Officer

Overview

Responsible for the overall management, coordination, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and communication of a project aimed at enhancing migration governance through private sector partnerships and innovative solutions.


Tasks Summary
  • Assist in coordination and monitoring of operational, administrative, and financial aspects of the project
  • Keep supervisor informed on project status, identify gaps, and suggest actions
  • Participate in development and adjustment of work plans, budgets, M&E tools, and SOPs
  • Coordinate data collection, verification, and analysis; update information management systems and social media
  • Coordinate timely preparation and dissemination of project reports
  • Liaise and coordinate with donors, partners, UN agencies, local authorities, and government counterparts
  • Contribute to planning, development, organization, and delivery of capacity building activities
  • Attend relevant conferences, workshops, working groups, and interagency meetings
  • Participate in preparation of project proposals, concept notes, and communication products
  • Supervise and provide training and technical guidance to project staff
  • Undertake duty travel for project implementation, monitoring, assessments, and liaison
  • Perform other related duties as required

Experience Requirements
  • Two years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven professional experience in environment and climate change, preferably in the context of migration or displacement
  • Experience in project management, coordination, and implementation within international organizations, UN agencies, or NGOs
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies, and non-governmental organizations
  • Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking, and other vulnerable groups
  • Experience in labour migration and skills development is an advantage
  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organizations in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage

Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, Climate Change, Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution
  • Master’s degree in the above-mentioned fields
Other Details

Languages Required: English and Georgian (oral and written)

Contract Duration: 1 Year with possibility of extension
