Overview

Internship opportunity to support the Sector for Priority Africa and External Relations in coordinating, liaising, and providing strategic policy advice. The intern will learn and assist in information and communication tasks.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare draft notes, memoranda, and letters for member states, programmes, and partners
  • Assist in researching and analyzing information for bilateral meeting briefings
  • Provide assistance in coordinating contributions to statutory meetings and drafting reports
  • Respond to queries with timely and accurate information to maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Assist in organizing meetings and events
  • Update the PAX Website on Intranet
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in the 3rd or final year of a Bachelor's degree
  • Currently enrolled in a second university degree (Master's or PhD) or equivalent
  • Completed Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree within the last 12 months
  • Applicants in technical/vocational assignments must be enrolled in or recently graduated from a specialized technical/vocational institution (within 12 months)

Languages Required
Excellent command, both written and spoken, of English or French
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of the other language (English or French) is an asset

No compensation, financial or otherwise for internship assignments• Entitled to 2.5 days of leave per month plus an additional 1 working day per complete month• Provided with limited workplace insurance coverage
