Overview

Provides support in functions related to carpentry to ensure the safe and reliable operation, maintenance and repair of VIC buildings. Carries out simple and routine carpentry tasks and assists with more complex tasks.

Tasks Summary

• Construct simple furniture according to requests, drawings and sketches
• Restore old office furniture if requested
• Construct and install various kinds of elements and panels such as wooden walls and ceilings, doors, acoustic panels
• Repair, maintain, assemble and fit all kinds of furniture, built-in cabinets, counters
• Maintain and operate common carpentry machines and equipment
• Record relevant information in the Facility Management electronic workorder platform

Experience Requirements

• Experience in performing simple and routine carpentry tasks
• Experience assisting with more complex carpentry tasks
