Overview
Provide analytical, design, and programming support for the NEC CCIS web client, with a focus on user experience and geospatial elements.
Tasks Summary
- Analyses and prepares operational requirements and design specifications
- Performs corrective, adaptive, and perfective maintenance of NEC CCIS Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
- Implements operational requirements via NEC CCIS generic software maintenance capabilities
- Designs and implements database models and structures
- Participates in extensive testing on multiple levels
- Provides support to user communities
Experience Requirements
- At least four years’ experience in systems engineering, systems analysis, programming and data processing
- Good general knowledge of GIS and associated disciplines, particularly as it is used in the military domain and prior experience with development of GIS system
- Knowledge and experience with modern software architecture, development and testing methodologies
- Knowledge and experience programming Java and Java Enterprise Edition, server and client side
- Knowledge and experience with web technologies (e.g. HTML5, CSS, SASS, JavaScript/ECMAScript, Web sockets) and web user interactions paradigms
- Knowledge and experience with ExtJS JavaScript framework
- Knowledge and experience with relational database systems, including SQL and Oracle's PL/SQL
Qualification Requirements
- University degree in computer technology or similar field, and at least four years of relevant experience OR
- Higher secondary education, coupled with advanced vocational training in computer technology or similar field, and at least four years of relevant experience
