Overview

Provide analytical, design, and programming support for application software, focusing on data models and user interfaces with good user experience. Ensure interoperability with other systems and standards in the air domain.


Tasks Summary
  • Analyse and prepare operational requirements and design specifications
  • Implement operational requirements via NEC CCIS generic software maintenance capabilities
  • Design and implement functionality for Wing and Squadron Operations
  • Design and implement functionality for Logistics data maintenance and reporting
  • Participate in engineering and implementation of the NISI interface
  • Maintain parts of the NEC CCIS integrated system dictionary
  • Maintain and develop formatted messages, totes and graphics
  • Assist in development of software tools
  • Prepare and perform tests of completed software modules
  • Develop test scenarios and maintain test databases
  • Participate in maintenance of generic software maintenance tools
  • Participate in integration, generation and testing of NEC CCIS software builds
  • Provide support to user communities during exercises and training

Experience Requirements
  • At least three years’ experience in systems analysis, programming and data processing
  • Working knowledge of computer hardware and software architecture and operations
  • Advanced knowledge of relational databases and Standard Query Language (SQL)
  • Substantial experience with the Oracle Database Management System
  • Detailed knowledge of and extensive experience with XML
  • Ability to use the Scheme functional programming language (desirable)
  • Ability to understand Java and JavaScript programming languages (desirable)
  • Theoretical understanding of Command and Control systems (desirable)
  • Thorough understanding of Air Operations (desirable)
  • Understanding of or experience with NEC CCIS concepts (desirable)
  • Experience with NEC CCIS (or ACCS) client software (desirable)
  • Experience in an international organization, preferably NATO (desirable)
  • Understanding or experience with user experience best practices (desirable)

Qualification Requirements
  • University degree in computer technology or similar field, and at least three years of relevant experience OR
  • Higher secondary education, coupled with advanced vocational training in computer technology or similar field, and at least four years of relevant experience

Languages Required: English – Upper Intermediate/Advanced

Work Modality: The work is normally performed in a typical office environment.

Remuneration: 93,933.00 Norwegian Krone (NOK) Monthly
