Overview
The Agri-Climate Business Development Officer is responsible for driving the implementation of agricultural loan products and influencing knowledge leadership within the agricultural landscape.
Tasks Summary
- Drive adoption of agricultural loan products
- Ensure alignment with climate strategy and sustainability goals
- Collaborate with teams to optimize product delivery
- Contribute to MFI agriculture master planning
- Achieve loan disbursement targets
- Maintain portfolio quality
- Conduct training sessions on agri-finance and climate-smart agriculture
- Facilitate group meetings
- Submit monthly reports
- Track loan utilization
- Develop success stories
- Attend VFI meetings
- Promote climate-smart agriculture practices
- Provide technical guidance on sustainable farming techniques
Experience Requirements
At least 3 years’ experience in Agri-climate products design and small farmers engagement in a microfinance or financial institution.
Qualification Requirements
Agricultural Extension and/or Business-related course from a recognized College/University
