UN Secretariat Procurement Notice: Provision of Landscaping Works at Mar Mikhael Train Station Park, Beirut, Lebanon – Phase 2
Tasks Summary
- United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) on behalf of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) Lebanon, seeks the interest of qualified vendors and Service Providers to participate in an upcoming tender solicitation Provision of Landscaping Works at Mar Mikhael Train Station Park Lebanon – Phase 2. The project forms part of ongoing urban regeneration and public space rehabilitation efforts aimed at restoring the Mar Mikhael Train Station area into a safe, inclusive, and functional public park. Phase 2 focuses on completing landscape development, hard and soft landscaping elements, site furniture installation, accessibility improvements, and associated civil works, in line with approved designs and technical specifications. The scope of works shall include but not limited to: A. Site Preparation and Earthworks
- Clearing, grading, leveling, and preparation of the site as per approved drawings.
- Removal of debris and unsuitable materials, with proper disposal. B. Landscaping Works
- Construction and installation of paved walkways, pathways, and hardscape surfaces.
- Installation of curbstones, edging, steps, ramps, and accessibility features.
- Supply and planting of trees, shrubs, ground cover, and grass according to the approved planting schedule.
- Soil improvement, fertilization, mulching, and preparation of planting areas.
- Establishment and initial maintenance of landscaped areas to ensure plant survival. C. Street Furniture and Park Fixtures
- Supply and installation of benches, waste bins, signage, bollards, and other park furniture as specified.
- Installation of lighting poles, fixtures, or related infrastructure where applicable. D. Utilities and Ancillary Works
- Installation or relocation of drainage, irrigation lines, and related fittings.
- Minor utility works to support landscaping and park functionality. E. Quality Control, Safety, and Environmental Measures
- Implementation of site safety measures in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Protection of existing structures and surrounding areas.
- Environmentally responsible execution of works. The complete detail of the requirement will be issued to bidders after this request for EOI is closed. Specific Requirements/Information IMPORTANT: Please note that this REOI is not an invitation for submission of tenders. Its purpose is to identify companies that would be interested and eligible to participate in the solicitation when issued. UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this Request for EOI does not automatically guarantee your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. Vendors that are deemed qualified upon completion of an objective evaluation of their EOI submission will receive the final tender solicitation documents.
