Overview
The role involves managing Pre-Migration Health Assessments (PMHA) in Lampedusa and providing medical escorting for migrants. The purpose is to ensure fitness for travel and provide continued care during migration phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and perform PMHA in Lampedusa for fitness to travel, including medical examinations, infectious diseases screening, referrals, pre-departure procedures, and documentation.
- Perform medical escort duties when required.
- Maintain medical equipment in Lampedusa.
- Ensure proper reporting and management of incidents.
- Collaborate with the Medical Focal Point on public health interventions.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of migration health data.
- Organize collection, processing, and analysis of migration health data.
- Provide oversight and coordinate procurement of medical supplies.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Required Experience
At least 3 years of professional experience in Medicine.
Qualifications
University degree in Medicine from an accredited academic institution; or University degree in Medicine plus Master’s Degree in Community or Public Health, Medical Specialization in Infectious Diseases, Tropical Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Aerospace medicine or other related fields from an accredited academic institution.
