Overview

Provide in-country or remote support to National Coordination Platforms (NCPs) and WASH coordination arrangements. Support the development, implementation, and review of country WASH assessment strategies.

Tasks Summary

• Support NCPs in developing and implementing country WASH assessment strategies, including for Humanitarian Needs Overview.
• Design and deliver trainings, webinars, and clinics on WASH assessment strategy development and implementation.
• Review NCPs WASH assessment strategies, track implementation, and consolidate lessons learned.
• Lead and support Assessment TWiGs when requested.
• Provide technical advice on assessment design, methodology, indicators, tools, and analysis frameworks.
• Review assessment results and products.
• Lead assessment design for harmonised/joint assessment activities, including methodology, indicators, tools, and analytical frameworks.
• Plan and coordinate data collection, ensuring timely completion and partner contributions.
• Ensure data quality through tracking progress, reviewing, and cleaning data.
• Lead data analysis and output production, including drafting reports and factsheets.
• Support dissemination of assessment findings through media content, presentations, and events.
• Promote broad participation of NCP members in assessment processes.
• Facilitate multi-sectoral assessment and analysis activities, staying updated on relevant initiatives.
• Represent GWC in JIAF methodology development workstreams and NCPs at inter-sector assessment fora.
• Facilitate systematic inclusion of WASH in inter-sectoral approaches and synergies with global initiatives.

• Experience in developing and implementing country WASH assessment strategies.
• Experience in designing and delivering trainings, webinars, and clinics on assessment strategy development and implementation.
• Experience in leading and supporting Assessment TWiGs.
• Experience in providing technical advice on assessment design, methodology, indicators, tools, and analysis frameworks.
• Experience in reviewing assessment results and products.
• Experience in leading assessment design for harmonised/joint assessment activities.
• Experience in planning and coordinating data collection.
• Experience in ensuring data quality.
• Experience in leading data analysis and output production.
• Experience in supporting dissemination of assessment findings.
• Experience in facilitating multi-sectoral assessment and analysis activities.
• Experience in representing organizations in inter-sector assessment fora.
