Overview

Provide informal dispute resolution services to UN personnel through in-person and virtual engagement. Provide systemic feedback on observable conflict patterns.

Tasks Summary

• Provide alternative dispute resolution services to employees
• Conduct mediation to help parties resolve workplace conflicts
• Maintain neutrality, impartiality and confidentiality
• Offer advice on dispute resolution techniques
• Work collaboratively to achieve solutions to employment-related problems
• Develop relationships with visitors and advise on services
• Assist in follow-up and advise visitors of further available services

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible professional experience in dispute resolution, legal, or managerial fields
• Training or work experience in conflict resolution, including mediation
• Experience working in an international organizational setting is desirable

Qualification Requirements

• Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent degree) in conflict resolution, law, social sciences or a related field
• First university degree with relevant combination of qualifications and experience may be accepted in lieu of advanced degree
