Overview
The MHPSS Psychosocial Worker is a member of a mobile team tasked with providing social support, including referrals, organizing capacity building and awareness sessions, and promoting cultural and recreational activities. The role aims to enhance community and family resilience and support vulnerable groups.
Tasks Summary
- Collaborate with team members to integrate MHPSS into community-based activities.
- Conduct training sessions on Psychological First Aid, stress management, and other MHPSS topics.
- Support the strengthening of social networks and organize support groups.
- Provide individual and group counselling.
- Develop and disseminate awareness messages and campaigns.
- Assist in conducting MHPSS needs and impact assessments.
- Support the management of partnerships with local implementing partners.
- Implement MHPSS components of integrated programmes.
- Undergo roving duty travel in Ukraine and be available for emergency travel.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Experience Requirements
- Previous experience in MHPSS work.
- Previous experience in community-based work.
- Previous experience in teamwork.
- Previous experience in humanitarian interventions.
- At least 2 years of working experience.
- Previous experience in mental health, social and protection activities in related areas of intervention is an advantage.
- Experience in communicating and working with a wide range of people, including people of culturally diverse backgrounds.
Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counselling, Educational Psychology, Psychotherapy, Social Sciences, Social Work, or a related field.
