Overview

The Senior Programme Associate will manage, coordinate, and oversee the activities of the IOM Podkarpacie programme. The role involves leading project implementation, monitoring activities, analysing challenges, and making recommendations for adjustments.


Tasks Summary
  • Independently lead and coordinate project implementation.
  • Monitor implementation activities and analyse difficulties.
  • Research, compile, analyse, and present information on developments.
  • Monitor budget expenditures and coordinate financial, administrative, and technical aspects.
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct capacity building workshops.
  • Participate in meetings and maintain liaison with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the preparation of narrative and financial reports.
  • Identify and document good practices and lessons learned.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to reporting staff.
  • Contribute to the development of new projects.
  • Coordinate information management on project activities.
  • Support monitoring and compliance with project partners and staff.

Experience Requirements
  • Seven years of relevant experience with a school diploma; or, five years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in project development and management.
  • Experience in programme quality control.
  • Experience in programme conceptualization, development, monitoring, reporting, and evaluation.
  • Experience in project development and capacity-building activities.
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies, and non-governmental organizations.
  • Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking, and other vulnerable groups.
  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organizations in a multi-cultural setting.
  • Knowledge of UN and bilateral donor programming.
  • Proven budget management and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with IOM and familiarity with the Ukraine crisis response is an added advantage.
  • Strong conceptualization, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain partnerships.

Qualification Requirements
  • Masters or Equivalent or Higher degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields.
  • School diploma.
Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in Polish and English (oral and written)

Languages Preferred: Working knowledge of Ukrainian

Contract Duration: Up to 9 months
