Overview
The role involves preparing and finalizing proposals and technical reports to donors, monitoring funding, and ensuring compliance with established procedures and donor requirements.
Tasks Summary
- Prepare draft and finalize proposals as well as technical reports to donors.
- Monitor funding proposals, grants implementation rates and reporting deadlines.
- Work with technical units to facilitate and consolidate operational planning and define resource requirements.
- Disseminate information on standard policies and procedures for resource and grant management.
- Monitor interventions and programmes funded by grants to ensure compliance.
- Update and maintain grant and finance tracking systems.
- Develop and maintain efficient mechanisms and channels for internal and external partnerships.
- Perform other related duties including replacing and backstopping as required.
Experience Requirements
- At least 5 years' experience in financial and resource management, management and administration.
- Experience in grant proposal, report writing and financial/grant tracking or similar experience in a relevant field.
- Experience working in donor relations in the context of emergency work.
- Desirable: Experience working in WHO, the UN and/or international organization or recognized humanitarian organizations including at the regional/country level.
- Desirable: Experience in developing frameworks and timelines for donor submissions.
Qualification Requirements
- Essential: First level university degree in business administration, management or closely related field.
- Desirable: Advanced level university degree (Masters' level or above) in business administration, management or closely related field.
- Desirable: Additional certification in financial management.
