COMMUNE DE DIJON Base nautique de Dijon Volunteer opportunity: Take part in activities at the water sports and nature sports centre
The project will take place at the new nautical base inaugurated in June 2024 and the beach of Lake Kir, famous for welcoming many Dijon residents and tourists all year round. It's a place that gives pride of place to nature and to water and land sports (biodiversity events, canoeing, kayaking, beach volleyball, swimming, running, walking, cycling, children's games, etc.). -> Regular activities : - Accompany users, school groups and visitors, paying particular attention to foreign visitors. - Helping users to equip themselves and have access to water sports equipment. - Guide visitors and present the site and its activities. - Raise awareness of environmental protection among participants. - Help maintain the facilities and equipment - Promote activities on the Kir Lake site. -> Specific actions: - Help organise competitions and events. - Help and participate in introductory activities to water and land-based activities. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements The volunteer's accommodation will be in a furnished municipal flat shared with other volunteers, close to the city centre. It will be provided free of charge by the City of Dijon. The young volunteer will be able to use the municipal staff cafeteria at low prices. Or it will be possible to eat on site. They will have a bus, tram and bicycle pass from the local transport company DIVIA. Training during the activity They will receive training on: how to welcome the public, how to use the facilities, the environment of the lake and its biodiversity,.... and first aid training Participant profile - be able to swim - have an interest in the environment and outdoor sports. - speak English and French - be available evenings and weekends
