Tasks Summary

Helenów” is a complex providing education, treatment and welfare for people with disabilities. It specializes in Central Nervous System dysfunctions, offering therapies like hippotherapy or art therapy. The volunteer supports teachers in a vocational school (gastronomy and hotel management), mainly in culinary classes: organizing workshops, introducing recipes from their country and supporting students. Additionally, the volunteer manages the school's social media (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram), so recording and editing skills are needed. Cooked meals contain meat. Infopack: https://www.spw.ngo/helenow-infopack Accommodation, food and transport arrangements Accommodation: Shared flat on the premises of the host organization. Possibly a shared room with one more volunteer of the same gender. - Food: Volunteer receives 150 EUR/month and is responsible for their own cooking. - Pocket money: 180 EUR per month. - Language support: Polish classes provided through the Online Linguistic Support (OLS) platform. - Local transport: Volunteer receives a city transport pass for all public transport in Warsaw. - International travel: Reimbursement up to 211 EUR, 309 EUR, or 395 EUR* (*additional funds possible for "green travel") Training during the activity Orientation training (coordinating organization): introduction to the project, getting to know the coordinators and the organization, integration with other volunteers and mentors, and planning - On-arrival training (National Agency): Getting to know Poland and ESC introduction (5 days) - Mid-term training (National Agency, 5 days) - Final evaluation (coordinating organization) - Evaluation meetings and trainings (coordinating organization): intercultural education, learning, cultural adaptation, and communication (once every two months). Participant profile Passionate about cooking and culinary arts, with a willingness to share recipes from their own country - Interested in creating content for social media (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube) - Friendly, open, and able to build relationships with people easily - Motivated to work with youth with disabilities - Communicative English - Reliable, diligent, and proactive
