Tasks Summary

“Helenów” is a complex of institutions providing education, treatment, and welfare for children, youth, and adults with disabilities. It specializes in the treatment of children with Central Nervous System dysfunctions, running a kindergarten and schools while offering various therapies such as hippotherapy, physiotherapy, music therapy, and art therapy. The main role of the volunteer is to support students staying in the boarding school by helping them prepare for classes in the morning, assisting with self-service routines, organizing after-school activities, transporting pupils around the center, and providing personal support. The boarding school is a place where students gain autonomy in their everyday routines. While professional teachers and educators take care of the students, the volunteer provides valuable extra personal support.
