Overview
Design and operationalize three aligned Monitoring & Evaluation frameworks for the UNEP-CTCN AFCIA II sub-programme, the global AFCIA programme, and the broader CTCN portfolio. The role aims to enhance impact measurement and alignment across implementing entities.
Tasks Summary
- Clarify scope, approach, and deliverables through document review and consultations.
- Develop M&E framework for UNEP CTCN sub-programme AFCIA II, including data-collection tools and reporting schedules.
- Develop M&E framework for the global AFCIA programme, including tools, templates, and reporting schedules.
- Refine the CTCN M&E framework by reviewing existing indicators and data collection methods, proposing streamlined indicators, and enhancing data collection approaches.
- Develop M&E Guidance and Capacity Building materials, including an M&E Guidance Manual and training sessions for stakeholders.
Experience Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional experience in developing monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
- Past assignments in the design and execution of complex international development results frameworks.
- Familiarity with programming design, implementation and operational challenges in climate, adaptation & environment sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in developing indicators to evidence the impact of climate change projects, programmes and organization.
- Demonstrated experience in training climate change professionals on monitoring the impact of their projects, programmes, and organization.
- Work experience in developing countries in more than one region.
Qualification Requirements
Advanced university degree in monitoring and evaluation, journalism, knowledge management, education, environment, design or related disciplines.
