Overview
The Physiotherapist 2 contributes to developing, organizing, implementing, and monitoring physiotherapy activities in collaboration with the hospital project manager and under the technical supervision of the PRP manager. The role focuses on early rehabilitation to improve outcomes in weapon wounded management and capacity building of healthcare workers.
Tasks Summary
- Implements ICRC physiotherapy standards and promotes best practices.
- Ensures seamless patient transition through referral pathways.
- Leads and assesses the physiotherapy team, providing feedback and coaching.
- Designs and delivers professional training programs.
- Advocates for early rehabilitation and raises awareness of physical rehabilitation needs.
- Collaborates on technical solutions, "Planning for Results" (PfR), and budget proposals.
- Evaluates service quality and effectiveness using institutional tools.
- Manages logistical and financial workflows.
- Produces technical and quarterly reports and manages institutional databases.
- Represents the ICRC in meetings with local authorities, academia, and partners.
Experience Requirements
- 3-5 years' postgraduate experience and up-to-date knowledge.
- Teaching experience and skills are strong assets.
- Experience with INGOs, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and/or multicultural or low-resource contexts are strong assets.
Qualification Requirements
- Degree in physiotherapy (Bachelor's or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of university studies).
- A valid license to practice in country of residence.
- Relevant additional degrees (e.g. public health, acute hospital or rehabilitation techniques) an asset.
