Overview

Design and Information Management consultant to perform website functions for the Geneva Environment Network to increase visibility, enhance reach, and develop knowledge-sharing activities.

Tasks Summary

• Design, develop and manage information systems, including databases and the network website platform.
• Undertake analysis of modules within the system, develop enhancements and new features to existing systems; may also design and implement small, stand-alone elements and assets as needed.
• Undertake testing and proving of applications used for data management and archiving.
• Write and develop programs to interface with existing systems.
• Ensure data quality.
• Ensure applications are secured and solutions are designed and implemented with best security practices.
• Work closely with the team to develop the design specifications for upcoming special events, to be implemented and integrated on website.
• Conduct layout adjustments and troubleshooting based on user feedback.

Experience Requirements

5 years of experience in content development, design and management of web platforms, including Wordpress is required. Experience working with other UN agencies in developing and maintaining web platforms, including in international Geneva is required.

Qualification Requirements

An advanced university degree in design or related field is required. A first-level university degree, combined with two (2) additional years of qualifying experience, may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.

Languages Required: Fluency in English and knowledge of French is required.
