Provide detailed reports on interactions with sources and analyze evidentiary materials pertinent to crimes committed against religious and/or ethnic groups. Collate relevant evidentiary materials for potential sharing with courts or tribunals.
At least one (1) year of relevant professional experience is required. Experience interacting with Burmese witnesses and sources in the context of any judicial proceeding or journalistic investigation is desirable. Experience in monitoring and review of a wide range of material, relevant to Myanmar is desirable. Experience in reviewing evidentiary materials in an international tribunal, accountability mechanism or other relevant judicial/prosecution environment is desirable. Knowledge of specialized analysis software and databases is desirable.
An Advanced University degree in law, social sciences, languages, information management or related fields is required. A first-level degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying work experience may also be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Languages Required: fluency in English and the Myanmar language (Burmese) is required.
Languages Preferred: Knowledge of another Myanmar language such as Kachin, Chin, Tedim, Zo, Rakhine, Rohingya and/or Shan languages is desirable.
