The Equestrian Rehabilitation Center Anche noi a Cavallo (ETS), founded in 1987, is a specialized center for animal-assisted interventions. It is registered in the National Digital Pet Register and is authorized to provide therapeutic, educational, and recreational activities. The “Anche Noi a Cavallo” Association Equestrian Rehabilitation Center is a welcoming environment nestled in the green Purlilies countryside, with indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, equipped play areas, a large covered and heated riding arena, and a spacious outdoor setting surrounded by greenery. In this project, Anche noi a Cavallo, we are collaborating with the association Giovanni Paolo II, so the activities will take place partly at our headquarters and partly in the other building where the volunteers will be staying. The “Giovanni Paolo II” is a nonprofit association, created in 2011, with the aim of providing social and educational services to families and youth. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements Volunteers will have a flat to share in 4 in Porcia centre. As a volunteer, you'll live in a self-contained apartment located within the Giovanni Paolo II Pastoral Center in Porcia, along with three other volunteers from different backgrounds. It's about three kilometers from “Anche Noi a Cavallo”, but just steps from Giovanni Paolo II, where you'll be volunteering. The accommodation consists of a kitchen, two double bedrooms, and a bathroom. You'll receive pocket money and an additional sum for food if you prepare all your meals. This way, you'll be free to cook in your fully equipped flat. Training during the activity ESC training cycle and Volunteers will be helped to create new and exciting opportunities for young people. Engage, encourage and empower young people to aspire, be happy and to advance in life, feel safe and bring reality to their ideas. Building self-worth, increasing confidence and self-belief, reducing isolation, developing skills, awareness of choices and options. Participant profile Volunteer should be responsible, motivated, proactive, patient, tolerant and flexible to adapt to changes. Firstly, need to be high motivated to work with people with disability, secondly in the workshop activities and thirdly in living in Italy. Motivated to learn the Italian language. Determined to learn, dynamic, versatile, positive, curious, respectful, sensitive. Motivated for teamwork and educational paths. Able to share a flat with other young Europeans. Passionate for the activities we offer. A good attitude toward animals is very important, and previous experience, especially with horses, is highly appreciated. Previous riding lessons are ideal. You have to be aware that ESC is not a vacation, it is not just travelling to another country, but it is a full-time learning experience in safe environment.
