Overview
Provide technical assistance to the Government of Kazakhstan and UNICEF for strengthening the national system of mental health and psychosocial support to children and adolescents, with a focus on regional implementation of mental health services.
Tasks Summary
- Support evidence generation, policy dialogue, adaptation, and implementation of MHPSS interventions for children and adolescents.
- Work under the technical guidance of UNICEF, in close collaboration with the international expert, and in coordination with relevant government bodies and service providers.
Experience Requirements
- At least 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in psychosocial support and mental health programming.
- Proven experience in training and/or supervision, and/or mentoring of specialists working with children and adolescents.
- Practical experience in implementation of evidence-based MHPSS interventions and/or psychosocial and/or diagnostic tools.
- Experience working with governmental and educational institutions and/or international organizations in Kazakhstan.
- Familiarity with Kazakhstan’s institutional and policy frameworks in education, health, mental health and social protection.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including government, academia, and civil society.
Qualification Requirements
An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Education, Public Health, or a related field.
