Overview
Volunteers will support the review and enrichment of charts for the UNDP Sustainable Energy Academy, verifying data sources, writing descriptions, validating metadata, and identifying opportunities to embed new data visualizations.
Tasks Summary
- Review all charts to verify data sources and licensing
- Write short chart descriptions where needed
- Validate metadata including chart titles, axis labels, and units
- Flag inconsistencies, outdated figures, or unclear visuals
- Identify 5 opportunities per module to embed new charts from Our World in Data
Experience Requirements
- Strong data literacy and attention to detail
- Experience working with charts or datasets
- Ability to interpret public datasets (e.g., energy, climate, development)
- Clear written English
- Interest in energy, climate, or development topics
