Overview
To provide specialized technical analysis and data management support to ensure food assistance programs are effective and evidence based.
Tasks Summary
- Design and maintain databases and data systems.
- Filter and clean raw data.
- Establish/advise/maintain secure data repositories and sharing platforms.
- Apply statistical techniques to interpret datasets.
- Map data flows and existing systems.
- Prepare reports and develop interactive dashboards and visualizations.
- Support the design, set-up, and implementation of data systems.
- Support the definition and roll out Cash Base Transfer data management.
- Act as a focal point to bridge gaps between program and technical partners.
- Guide, supervise, and build the capacity of more junior staff on data analysis best practices and tools.
- Support in building the capacity of other team members in data analysis best practices and tools.
Experience Requirements
- At least 6 years of progressively responsible professional experience in data science.
- Demonstrated interest and/or experience in humanitarian and development work.
- Specific experience in the design, set-up, and implementation of data systems.
- Proven capacity to support data and digital strategies in complex operational environments.
- MS package and knowledge in database management.
Qualification Requirements
University degree in Information Management, Information Systems, Computer Science or any other related field.
