Overview
Develop a Teacher Training Manual in Life Skills and Health Education (LSHE) for Zambia's College Hub Model, integrating disability inclusion and outlining a concept for scripted lesson plans.
Tasks Summary
- Conduct a desk review of existing LSHE materials, disability-inclusive education frameworks, and international guidelines.
- Draft a comprehensive, modular Teacher Training Manual for LSHE, including learning objectives, modules, pedagogical strategies, disability inclusion, and a structure for scripted lesson plans.
- Consult with the Ministry of Education to present and gather feedback on the inception report, draft manual, and proposed structure.
- Revise and finalize the manual, preparing print-ready and digital-ready versions.
- Produce an Inception Report, Annotated Draft Teacher Manual, Facilitator’s Guide, In Person Validation Workshop Report, Final Teacher Manual, and User Orientation Guide.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the development of education materials, particularly in the areas of Life Skills, Health Education, or sexuality education.
- Proven understanding of Zambia’s education system, national curriculum standards, and school-level pedagogical practices.
- Demonstrated familiarity with relevant international frameworks (e.g., ITGSE, ESA Commitment).
Qualification Requirements
• Advanced university degree in Education, Curriculum Development, Public Health, or a related field.
