Overview
Support the coordination and implementation of stabilization and recovery project activities, focusing on durable solutions for displacement-affected communities in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager in coordinating stabilization and recovery project implementation with Congolese institutions.
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of SO3 activities, including multi-stakeholder consultations.
- Support community-based planning (CBP) processes.
- Support livelihood activities, vocational training, and income-generating activities.
- Support the establishment, strengthening, and accompaniment of community management committees, cooperatives, and Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs).
- Promote social cohesion, peaceful coexistence, and inclusive local governance.
- Support the Project Manager in project monitoring and evaluation.
- Contribute to the monitoring of the implementation and progress of the Provincial Durable Solutions Strategy and its Operational Plan.
- Support capacity-building initiatives for local governance and community structures.
- Support humanitarian and development actors to strengthen community-based Information, Counselling and Referral Services (ICRS).
- Support the technical, operational, and administrative follow-up of SO3 activities.
- Contribute to the timely preparation of project reports.
- Perform any other related duties as required by the supervisor.
Required Experience
- University degree (Bachelor's degree or higher) in Social Sciences or Community Development, Law, International Relations, Sustainable Solutions, Humanities and/or Development with four years of relevant experience, or School diploma with six years of relevant experience.
- Experience in project management (stabilization, democratic dialogue, governance, land tenure, sustainable solutions, justice, community mobilization).
- Proven expertise in the implementation of sustainable solution projects and community reintegration, particularly in the areas of stabilization, democratic dialogue, land tenure, justice, and security.
Qualifications
University degree (Bachelor's degree or higher) in Social Sciences or Community Development, Law, International Relations, Sustainable Solutions, Humanities and/or Development, or School diploma.
