Overview

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the overall coordination, daily management, and quality assurance of the project “Inclusive Support to Civil Society Organizations in the Gaza Strip with a Focus on Women”. The position ensures the coherent implementation of the project’s three pillars—Employment, Economic Empowerment, and Psychosocial Support.

Tasks Summary
  • Lead and coordinate the overall planning, implementation, and monitoring of all project activities.
  • Ensure effective coordination among PNGO, MA’AN, UNDP units, CSOs, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate regular partner coordination meetings.
  • Track and adjust timelines to ensure timely and quality delivery of outputs.
  • Oversee the assessment of CSO needs and capacities.
  • Coordinate the recruitment, placement, and supervision of short-term employees and UNV staff.
  • Maintain continuous communication with CSOs to monitor staff performance.
  • Support the full cycle of entrepreneurship and economic empowerment activities.
  • Monitor the implementation and progress of home-based businesses and women-led MSMEs.
  • Coordinate group and individual PSS/MHPSS activities.
  • Oversee the implementation of PSEA Training of Trainers.
  • Ensure that all activities across components uphold key protection principles.
  • Develop and implement a monitoring plan.
  • Conduct regular field visits to partner CSOs, youth hubs, MSMEs, and beneficiaries.
  • Prepare high-quality monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports.
  • Maintain updated beneficiary lists, assessment tools, and monitoring records.
  • Monitor political, operational, and social risks.
  • Ensure the integration of GEN3 principles, disability inclusion, PSEA safeguards, and protection protocols.
  • Coordinate with UNDP Operations and Procurement teams.
  • Assist in community outreach and engagement efforts.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors from UNDP.
Experience Requirements
  • At least 3 years of professional work experience at the national and/or international level in project coordination, or other relevant programmes.
  • Experience working in the UN or other international development organization is an asset.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) skills, along with prior experience in economic development projects, and emergency interventions, are valuable assets.
Qualification Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, Development Studies, or a related field will be given due consideration.

Contract Duration: 6 months (with possibility of extension)

Work Modality: Onsite

Remuneration: A Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA) of ILS 8,441 is provided monthly to cover housing, utilities, and normal cost of living expenses. Life, health, and permanent disability insurance are included (health insurance for up to 3 dependents), as well as Exit allowance for satisfactory service.
