Overview
The Safer Partnership Officer will work with partners to strengthen their capacity on safeguarding and safer programming, aiming to ensure beneficiaries are in safe environments and promoting a culture of safety and accountability within partner organizations.
Tasks Summary
- Build strong relationships with partner organizations and understand their safeguarding needs.
- Support partner Safeguarding focal persons to integrate safeguarding into program design, implementation, and evaluation.
- Assess partner safeguarding frameworks and develop capacity-building plans.
- Develop resources, tools, and training materials for safeguarding efforts.
- Design and deliver training sessions on safeguarding best practices.
- Support risk assessments and the development of risk mitigation strategies.
- Assist in developing and implementing safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Establish monitoring systems to assess partner progress in implementing safeguarding measures.
- Work with partners to ensure effective processes for reporting and responding to safeguarding incidents.
- Maintain accurate records of capacity-building activities and safeguarding incidents.
- Prepare monthly reports for the Head of Safeguarding.
Experience Requirements
- Proven experience in working on safeguarding, protection, or related fields.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of safeguarding principles, international standards, and best practices.
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., social sciences, international development, human rights).
