Overview

The UN Women JPO - Partnership and Coordination Analyst will support the coordination and programme support functions of the Nepal Country Office by assisting in strengthening strategic partnerships and coordination for GEWE within the UN System and with external partners.

Tasks Summary
  • Manage and coordinate relationships with key partners, including government, civil society, private sector, and donors.
  • Provide inputs to the Country Representative/Deputy Representative to forge and implement strategic partnerships.
  • Support engagement with bilateral and multilateral donors, including preparation of briefing notes, concept notes, and partner intelligence.
  • Provide regular updates on donor profiles, databases, and partnership opportunities.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of resource mobilization strategies aligned with country-level priorities.
  • Draft and package proposals, concept notes, and funding submissions.
  • Assist in identifying funding opportunities and prepare analytical briefs on donor trends.
  • Support coordination of timely, high-quality donor reporting in collaboration with programme and monitoring staff.
  • Prepare briefing materials for participation in UN inter-agency processes and meetings.
  • Provide technical inputs on gender perspectives in UN joint programming and other inter-agency initiatives.
  • Support UNCT monitoring and reporting on gender equality results.
  • Provide technical inputs to UN inter-agency coordination processes (UNCT, joint programmes, thematic groups).
  • Support organization and documentation of coordination meetings and consultations.
  • Support the implementation of advocacy and communication campaigns on GEWE, including international observances and global initiatives.
  • Draft advocacy products and manage content for social media and web platforms in coordination with communication staff.
  • Provide inputs to speeches, talking points, and presentations for high-level meetings.
Experience Requirements
  • At least 2 years (with MA) or 4 years (with BA) of progressively responsible work experience in development programme/project implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting and capacity building;
  • Experience in working on women’s leadership and governance system will be an asset;
  • Experience in the Partnership, Coordination and Resource Mobilization is an asset;
  • Experience coordinating and liaising with government agencies and/or donors is an asset.
  • Prior experience of working with a UN or INGOs will be an asset.
  • Experience in administrative systems and UN system norms is an asset;
  • Experience in working independently with minimal supervision
Qualification Requirements
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in social sciences, human rights, gender/women's studies, international development, or a related field is required
  • A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
  • A project/programme management certification (such as PMP®, PRINCE2®, or MSP®) would be an added advantage

Languages Required: Fluency in written and spoken English

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of the other UN official working language is an asset

Contract Duration: 1 Year with Possibility for extension
