Overview
The Communications and Knowledge Management Analyst will ensure effective communication and knowledge management for the Project by developing strategies, systems, and tools that enhance information sharing, branding, and stakeholder engagement.
Tasks Summary
- Lead the development, enhancement, and implementation of the Communication and Knowledge Management Plan (CKMP) for I-LEAD.
- Develop I-LEAD’s Brand Manual (logo, branding guidelines, templates, briefer, visual assets).
- Lead the development of high quality written and audio-visual communication materials.
- Organize media events such as press conferences, briefing sessions, and interviews.
- Create and maintain a repository of communication materials and knowledge products.
- Optimize content for online platforms and design graphics for visually appealing web pages.
- Develop and implement I-LEAD’s social media strategy.
- Leverage donor and partner knowledge platforms to expand outreach of project reports and knowledge products.
- Write and edit speeches and public statements for project staff and senior management.
- Integrate communication and knowledge management indicators into project monitoring frameworks.
- Prepare TORs for consultants, contractors and partners to support CKMP implementation.
- Document lessons learned, success stories, and best practices.
- Ensure timely availability of communication and KM data to support evidence-based decision-making.
- Contribute to periodic progress reports and knowledge products.
- Attend meetings and coordinate with the Climate Action Programme Team for administrative and financial oversight.
- Provide technical support to NCIP for the enhancement and implementation of its Knowledge Management system.
- Build capacity of NCIP and decentralized teams on content management and KM tools.
- Support crisis communications and assist the UNDP CO communications team with responses to I-LEAD related media inquiries.
- Facilitate consultations and ecosystem mapping to strengthen stakeholder engagement and adjust strategies as needed.
Experience Requirements
Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience at the national and/or international level in communication, media relations, advocacy, and knowledge management within program or project design and implementation.
Qualification Requirements
- Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in development communication, journalism, communications, knowledge management, or other related fields; OR
- A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with additional 2 years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the master’s degree.
