Overview
The M&E Associate will monitor project progress against objectives, ensure the production of progress reports meeting UNDP and GEF standards, and implement project-specific M&E plans and tools. The role supports project site M&E, learning missions, and Grievance Redress Mechanisms.
Tasks Summary
- Monitor project progress and participate in the production of progress reports (both UNDP and GEF).
- Ensure project’s M&E meets the requirements of the UNDP Country Office, and GEF; develop project-specific M&E tools.
- Oversee and ensure the implementation of the project’s M&E plan.
- Oversee/develop/coordinate the implementation of the stakeholder engagement plan.
- Oversee and guide the design of surveys/ assessments.
- Support mid-term and terminal evaluations of the project.
- Support annual reviews of the project and produce analytical reports.
- Support the planning, organization, and execution of project site Monitoring and learning missions.
- Assist in the preparation and dissemination of communication products related to M&E findings.
- Support the monitoring of GRM.
- Conduct regular visits to project sites.
- Provide assistance in any other M&E-related activities.
Experience Requirements
- Progressively responsible experience in Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), report writing, and programme/project implementation at national or international level is required.
- Climate Change and Policy Development and related required technical knowledge is desired.
- Working experience with the Global Environmental Facility (GEF).
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor's degree in development studies, Project Management, Social Sciences or any other relevant field. Master's degree is preferred.
