Consultant - IT Project Manager

Overview

The consultant will ensure a results-oriented response to business technology priorities by managing IT projects, translating business requirements into IT capabilities, and advising senior managers on technology project impacts.

Tasks Summary

• Support the implementation of new information systems or enhancements to existing systems.
• Develop project plans consistent with relevant policies, standards, and best practices.
• Lead Agile software implementation teams and manage the end-to-end Agile Software Development Lifecycle.
• Support organizational change initiatives by analyzing information solutions and proposing improvements.
• Contribute to organizational change management and communication efforts.
• Serve as product manager for IAEA web products.
• Collaborate with other staff on information, project, and portfolio management policies and standards.
• Support management of portfolios through data analysis and visualization.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience as IT project manager, in an information systems context, in a client-facing role.
• Project management experience utilizing a structured methodology such as PMP or PRINCE2.
• Experience in leading software delivery teams using a lean/agile approach such as SCRUM.
• Experience with Software Development Lifecycle, with a particular focus on eliciting and documenting business process flows, user stories and non-functional requirements; quality management; planning and executing user acceptance testing; end-user training; documentation and support.
• Experience in business process reengineering.
• Experience in utilizing techniques and tools to explore and validate requirements with clients.
• Experience in analysing data sets and leveraging visualization tools.
• Experience in Managing projects to implement modern cloud‑based data platforms.
• Experience in working with mixed onsite/offsite teams will be considered an asset.

Qualification Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field;
• Non-Degree Program - Accredited certification in Project Management such as PMP or Prince2 is an asset;
• Accredited Agile and Business Analysis Certification such as CBAP and SCRUM Master (as an asset)

Other Details

Languages Required: Excellent command of spoken and written English with special emphasis on drafting skills.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.

Work Modality:

Remuneration: A daily fee of up to a maximum of € 375, based on qualifications and experience. In case duty travel is required within the assignment, a daily subsistence allowance (DSA) and travel costs are provided.
