Stichting Explosief Natuurschoon Ingen, Netherlands Volunteer opportunity: Green Future
You will gain valuable experience in sustainable agriculture by hands on work at a organic dynamic softfruit farm by being actively involved in daily farm tasks. With the experience you gain you will also choose personal projects around the theme sustanibility. This could be organizing community events that promote sustainability or design educational program for schoolchildren on nature and environmental care or other things around these subjects that interest you. This project is highly relevant in today’s world, as it empowers young people to actively contribute to a greener, more sustainable future. By promoting eco-friendly practices and raising awareness, we are shaping a better tomorrow for our planet. Goals for this project: - Build a Greener Future Together. - Design a Space for Learning and Growth. - Promote Creativity and Collaboration. - Build Sustainable Partnerships. - To Enhance European Values like solidarity, cooperation, and sustainability. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements We offer on-site accommodation, on the farm where the most activities take place. Volunteers have their own private room. Kitchen and bathrooms are shared, which also makes space for shared meals and connection, camping style life. We provide bikes for getting around and exploring the area. You’ll also receive a Dutch public transport card, which you can use for project- related travel and personal trips. You’ll receive a monthly food allowance and some pocket money, which you can freely use for groceries and fun activities. This gives you the freedom to buy your own groceries and cook meals. Training during the activity As a volunteer in this project, you will learn by actively helping on the farm and by developing educational activities and community events. We will be there to guide you, but most of the learning happens through independence: taking initiative, working autonomously, and exploring your own interests. You will shape your own learning path while contributing to meaningful work. In addition, volunteers take part in EU-provided trainings and a language programme to learn more about the Dutch language and culture. Participant profile We welcome young people from EU countries, between the ages of 18 and 30, who are: Interested in growing a sustainable, healthy future, excited about being and working outdoors and physically active, happy to live and work closely with others, curious to learn, share, and contribute. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone with a passion for nature, farming (working outside) and community. No experience required, just motivation and openness! It is important to notice that a big part of the project is hands on work on a farm. This can be hard work! Also for the personal projects we are there to support and guide you, but we also ask you to work individually and together with other ESC volunteers. It is important to be able to take responsibillity and work together with other people.
