The volunteers will involve in the following activities: - Conversation assistant at the local institute for the subjects of Physical Education,IT and English - School support for children, help with their homework and games to develop other skills with the Red Cross - Cooperation and preparation in activities for elderly with the Red Cross - Support in the dining room of the retirement center from Monday to Friday. - Support in the local primary dining room (SAFA) from Monday to Friday.. - Helping out the activities of the association when it is needed. - Involving Spanish Classes Accommodation, food and transport arrangements The volunteers will stay in double rooms and will live with 15-20 different volunteers from different countries. There is bathroom, kitchen, kitchen utilities(pots, plates and etc.), living room, washing machine, hot water, heating and cooling. You will have unlimited internet connection with Wi-Fi in the house. The volunteers will receive 180 EUR food their food expenses per month. As the city is a small town and it is easy to reach everywhere by walk, there will be no transportation arrangement. Travel costs of the volunteers will be provided according to the program rules. Training during the activity The participants will receive on-arrival training if it is organized by Spanish National Agency during their stay and we will provide language courses and the participants will directly involve in the training and workshops provided by our organisation. For the detailed training opportunities please, look the section under projects : www.verdesur.org Participant profile We are looking participants who are eager to develop and engage new international projects as well as interested in working with young people, children and elderly. We do not require any special skills though, we expect the volunteer to be eager to work with young people and adults. For the long-term volunteers, Adequate English knowledge is a plus and knowing Spanish is preferred. This position is only open to people from any country.
