Nature Community eG Schönsee, Germany Volunteer opportunity: Nature Community Volunteering Team, Early Spring 2026
This volunteering team activity is organized by members of the “Nature Community” Community Project which will be welcoming and holding space for young adults from across Europe to step into their power and unique gifts and explore a cooperative and sustainable lifestyle, beyond individualitsic consumerism and competition. Volunteers will contribute to our eco village through various hands-on projects, while we will promote skills as operating tools and machines in construction, gardening and vegan cooking. Besides learning and deepening practical skills such as everyday operation and use of machines, firewood production, some construction and clay plaster work and gardening, during regular sharing circles and group sessions we will explore areas of personal growth, self-love and stepping into full accountability for yourself. Communication skills, setting clear boundaries and and authentic relating are some of of the many competences we will explore during the program. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements Our eco village is located in a remote area of Bavaria close to the German-Czech border, away from city infrastructure. Accommodation will be arranged mainly in shared 2-bed-rooms. Meals are vegan, 100% organic and shared and prepared some together with our community, some amongst the volunteer group. Your Travel costs will be reimbursed upon submission of travel tickets after the activity. Please remember to keep all the original travel tickets and bring them to Nature Community. Training during the activity potential projects and learning opportunities: - everyday operation and use of machines (cordless screwdriver, jigsaw, etc.) - renovation and maintenance tasks, building projects, such as constructing compost toilets, and outdoor showers from recycled and natural materials - renovation work and construction / clay plaster - gardening - firewood production - plant based cooking in the community kitchen Community tools such as sharing circles, deep listening, and group reflection sessions will support social learning, resilience, conflict management skills, and teamwork. Participant profile We are looking for curious and enthusiastic volunteers to join our vibrant, multi-generational community-project of about 80 members, for six weeks. If you enjoy exploring new things, getting to know yourself a little better and are flexible to contribute in various areas of our community life, this is your opportunity to discover something new and expand your horizon. We aim to maintain a safe environment, free from alcohol or substance use, throughout the volunteering period. Please note that we exclusively offer vegan meals during the stay and that only vegan food is allowed in all community areas (private rooms are exempt). We value respectful individuals with an open mindset for personal growth, self-reflective abilities and reliability.
