Overview

The Partnership Coordinator will provide leadership and technical oversight to partnership processes within Oxfam’s Syria programme, focusing on strengthening and managing relationships with partner organisations.

Tasks Summary
  • Support partner mapping and scoping, and lead partnership building conversations.
  • Coordinate partnership assessment processes and provide guidance to staff.
  • Support documentation, contracting, and compliance of legal partner contracts.
  • Ensure partner organisations receive adequate support on finance, logistics, HR, reporting, and communications.
  • Set up monitoring agreements with partners, focusing on compliance, risk management, and capacity strengthening.
  • Support partner-led advocacy, influencing, and communication activities.
  • Develop capacity strengthening action plans for partners.
  • Coordinate technical support and mentoring for partners.
  • Regularly review partnership relations and ways of working.
  • Ensure country and hub teams are familiar with Oxfam’s partnership principles and policies.
  • Provide coaching to staff on equitable partnering.
  • Facilitate cross-hub learning on partnership lessons learned and good practices.
  • Enable meaningful participation of partner staff in the project cycle and programmatic planning.
  • Implement the Oxfam in Syria partnership strategy.
  • Represent the Syria programme in partnership- and localisation-focused coordination meetings.
  • Encourage and enable civil society actors to engage in formal coordination activities.
  • Ensure the work of local actors is visible and promoted.
  • Support joint learning exercises with partners.
  • Capture partnership-related lessons learned and good practices.
Experience Requirements
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in a local, national or international NGO.
  • Experience and proven ability of working with national and/or local partner organisations, and an understanding of the challenges they face.
  • Ability to build strong, credible relationships with international and local NGOs, government entities and communities.
  • Experience working as part of the humanitarian response in Syria would be advantageous.
Qualification Requirements

• Graduate qualification in relevant field related to humanitarian and/or development programming and strategies.

Languages Required: • Excellent personal communication skills, in writing and verbal communication (Arabic and English).
