Overview

The Driver/Clerk (NPSA-3) will provide driving and administrative support to UNDP projects, ensuring efficient and safe transportation and assisting with clerical duties.

Tasks Summary
  • Ensure proper day-to-day maintenance of assigned vehicle.
  • Provide reliable and safe driving services for staff and visitors.
  • Deliver and collect mail, documents, cargo, and pouch.
  • Meet official personnel and visitors at the airport.
  • Ensure safe and timely driving for field trips.
  • Maintain vehicle documents and supplies.
  • Provide support in performing registry-related duties.
  • Distribute project correspondence and materials.
  • Provide logistical support for workshops, meetings, and events.
  • Assist in obtaining quotations for vehicle repairs/servicing.
  • Be responsible for office security.
  • Maintain files and records relevant to the project.
  • Perform minor renovation works in the project office.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum three (3) years of relevant work experience in short and long road driving with safe driving records.
  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages.
  • Experience in handling web-based management systems.
  • Experience in administrative work, preferably in an international organization is desired.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle fleet management systems or digital logbooks is desired.
  • Experience working in a multicultural or international team environment is desired.
  • Experience working with or transporting senior officials, delegations, or VIP guests is desired.
Qualification Requirements
  • High School certificate.
  • Secondary Education with a valid driver’s license is required.
Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in Romanian and English is required.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of Romani, Russian, Gagauzian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian and/or sign language, is an asset.

Contract Duration: 1 Year with Possibility for extension
