Consultant to continue the implementation of child online protection initiatives in East Asia and the Pacific, focusing on expanding engagement with the private sector.
Tasks Summary
- Launching and rolling out the extended ASEAN RPA COEA
- Launching the implementation review of the RPA COEA
- Facilitating the convening of the ASEAN-ICT Forum on child online protection 2026
- Expanding regional and national engagement with industry
- Developing an industry framework for ASEAN on child online protection
- Supporting integration of child rights, online safety and wellbeing in digital governance
- Expanding research and evidence generation and knowledge management
- Applying new guidance and tools and testing principle-based approaches to digital policy design and implementation locally
- Providing technical advice for country level engagement
Experience Requirements
- At least, 8 years of professional experience in a relevant field(s), including child protection, child rights, digital rights, digital governance, online protection or trust and safety.
- Demonstrated expert and up-to-date knowledge of child online protection frameworks, trends, and best practices.
- Proven experience engaging with private sector stakeholders, including technology companies, industry partners, or corporate networks.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability and willingness to provide country-level support and participate in virtual meetings during East Asia time-zone working hours.
Qualification Requirements
Master’s degree in law, social sciences, anthropology, evaluation or related field.
