Overview
The Midwife will support the implementation of targeted RH activities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality Emergency Reproductive Health activities at the community level. The role involves providing direct clinical care and supporting community health volunteers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical care to targeted patients at the HF and community level.
- Maintain professional relations with health clinical staff.
- Conduct targeted assessment of patients.
- Perform basic and assisted delivery care.
- Perform neonatal and obstetric resuscitation.
- Ensure timely supported referrals to the nearest Emergency Obstetric Care center.
- Strengthen health facility-based deliveries, LARC family planning services, and STI cases.
- Identify survivors of sexual assault and refer them.
- Provide antenatal and postnatal care.
- Deliver hygiene promotion, health education, and patient/caregiver counseling.
- Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control measures.
- Ensure accurate recording of information and timely completion of reports.
- Provide support and train CHVs and CHWs on RH-related topics.
- Achieve all project-relevant targets.
- Carry out duties as per duty roster.
- Ensure patient confidentiality is respected.
Required Experience
- At least 2 years of clinical midwifery experience.
- Previous experience and training in sexual gender-based violence and clinical care for sexual assault survivors is an advantage.
Qualifications
Qualified Midwifery diploma/certificate and registered with the Ministry of Health.
