Overview

The Grants and Partnerships Officer supports the IRC team in managing donor reporting, maintaining grant records, and coordinating daily grant management. The role also involves liaising with field partners, coordinating partnership activities, and report writing to ensure high-risk management and compliance in partnerships.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Grants Coordinator and Partnership Manager in managing donor activities and developing donor documents.
  • Monitor the grant management system.
  • Document results and reports, including preparation and/or review of information for partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain grant management tools, such as grant trackers and reporting schedules.
  • Support the Programme and Operations team and the Grants Coordinator in preparing and tracking project cycle meetings.
  • Implement effective systems to ensure timely donor reporting and edit report sections as needed.
  • Support the drafting of donor reports and ensure they are high quality and submitted on time.
  • Assist in responding to donor compliance questions/issues.
  • Assist in the preparation and participation in external monitoring visits, reviews, and audits.
  • Establish and maintain electronic and paper files for each grant-funded project.
  • Conduct routine compliance reviews of grant programs.
  • Support the analysis of expenditure plans.
  • Work closely with finance to review and adjust budgets.
  • Contribute to the drafting and editing of internal and external IRC newsletters.
  • Develop fact sheets and success stories related to activities.
  • Oversee the review of IRC and donor visibility materials.
  • Conduct occasional field visits to capture content.
  • Assist in mapping partners and stakeholder analysis.
  • Support the organization and facilitation of capacity and risk assessments for potential partners.
  • Assist in the operational, financial, and programmatic monitoring of all partners.
  • Identify opportunities for IRC to support partner capacity building efforts.
  • Support the implementation of capacity building plans for partners.
  • Feed partnership trackers with data collected from programme, partnership, and finance teams.
  • Coordinate with finance to ensure timely fund transfers and adequate financial monitoring and support for partners.
  • Maintain comprehensive electronic records on partners.
  • Coordinate with relevant technical teams to review monthly internal reports and compile partner reports into overall donor reports.
  • Represent IRC Cameroon at relevant internal and external meetings.
  • Undertake diverse projects as requested.
Required Experience
  • At least one year of experience in a grant management role, preferably within an NGO.
  • Previous experience in grant management and knowledge of US (USAID/BHA, BPRM) and European (ECHO, SIDA) donor regulations, procedures, and requirements.
  • Proven experience in coordinating reporting to institutional and private donors.
  • Familiarity with budget preparation and management.
Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
