Overview
The Community and Ecosystem Coordination Associate will support the operationalization of a ManuTech hub in Addis Ababa, focusing on ecosystem mapping, engagement, space administration, events, communication, and hub operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support mapping of ecosystem actors for partnership development
- Maintain and update stakeholder contact database
- Assist in identifying collaboration opportunities and drafting outreach notes
- Maintain partner tracking sheets and follow up on engagements
- Help organize community building activities
- Support logistics for events
- Promote diversity and inclusion in community activities
- Collect feedback, track attendance, and prepare post-event summaries
- Support coordination of partner events and university/industry visits
- Assist with drafting concept notes, briefs, and visibility materials
- Draft social media posts, updates, and activity summaries
- Collect photos, videos, testimonials, and success stories
- Coordinate with the UNDP communications team
- Monitor online engagement and support quarterly communication summaries
- Upload relevant materials to the timbuktoo digital platform
- Support in the development of a sustainable operation plan for the hub space
- Support the day-to-day administration of hub spaces
- Maintain basic inventory lists for co-working spaces
- Oversee user access to common spaces
- Maintain datasets on participation, ecosystem interactions, and communication outputs
- Provide input for quarterly and annual hub reports
Required Experience
- 1 month experience working in Makerspace/Fabrication labs with experience in community engagement and event management
- Experience supporting events, workshops, networking sessions, or university club activities
- Experience in developing content for social media for professional communication, content creation, or managing pages
- Exposure to startup ecosystems, innovation communities, youth groups
- Experience maintaining data, lists, or simple CRM‑style tracking sheets
- Experience working with diverse communities and supporting inclusive activities
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, Business administration, Management, ICT and other related fields.
