Overview

The role involves coordinating communication activities for the Ethical Fashion Initiative (EFI) of the International Trade Centre (ITC), focusing on strategic planning, social media management, content creation, and event communications.


Key Responsibilities
  • Create and manage social media plans, implement a social media calendar, and respond to audience comments.
  • Plan and coordinate photoshoots and video production, capture stories and visuals from communities, develop impact stories and case studies, and organize a library of assets.
  • Draft communication concepts and plans for events, facilitate media partnerships, draft and distribute press releases, invitations, and promotional materials, and manage event-related social media content.
  • Deliver targeted training on Communications SOPs and develop training materials.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for communications, professionally archive and file communication assets, and organize and catalogue assets.
  • Monitor and report on social media performance, provide updates on progress, risks, and priorities, and ensure alignment between programme delivery, visibility activities, and donor reporting requirements.
Required Experience
  • Extensive relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a university degree.
  • Professional experience in communication and media.
  • Experience in coordinating creative teams and working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience covering training, workshops, or community development projects.
Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree (BA/BSC or other) in communication, media or fashion/lifestyle field.

• Knowledge or local language / another UN language is an asset.
