Overview
The Contracts Officer will support the Digital Impact Division (DID) procurement and contracting strategic planning for 2026 by coordinating and managing procurement cases, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and timely delivery, with a focus on Digital Inclusion priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support strategic procurement planning and sourcing optimization.
- Oversee end-to-end case coordination and provide technical support.
- Maintain systems oversight and data integrity.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and knowledge sharing.
Required Experience
- Minimum two years of professional experience in procurement, supply chain management, or commercial contracting, preferably in the UN system or public sector procurement.
- Experience in complex services contracting, including end-to-end management of procurement processes for high-value or technically complex services, or market research and supplier analysis.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, including the ability to manage multiple procurement activities and coordinate stakeholders.
- Desired: Experience working in an international or multilateral organization.
- Desired: Experience in managing procurement across multiple organizational units, field operations, or humanitarian contexts.
- Desired: Experience in managing supplier relationships throughout the contract lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferably in business administration, public administration, commerce, engineering, or a related field is required.
- A first-level university degree preferably in the above-mentioned fields, combined with two additional years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree.
- Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management (such as CIPS or equivalent) is desirable.
