Overview

Responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of assigned programmes/projects, monitoring progress, and identifying issues for resolution. Conducts research and assists in policy development and data analysis.


Key Responsibilities
  • Participates in programme/project development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Monitors and analyzes programme/project development and implementation.
  • Reviews relevant documents and reports.
  • Identifies problems and issues and proposes corrective actions.
  • Liaises with relevant parties and tracks follow-up actions.
  • Performs research in collaboration with teams, plans workshops, and assists in developing business and technical requirements.
  • Researches, analyzes, and presents information from diverse sources.
  • Assists in policy development, including review and analysis of issues and trends.
  • Undertakes survey initiatives, designs data collection tools, and analyzes responses.
  • Prepares written outputs such as background papers, analysis, and reports.
  • Provides substantive support to meetings, including proposing agenda topics and preparing documents.
  • Undertakes outreach activities, conducts training workshops, and makes presentations.
  • Participates in or leads field missions and drafts mission summaries.
  • Coordinates activities related to budget and funding.
  • Collects and analyzes data to identify trends and provide insights using data visualization methods.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Required Experience
  • A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration or related area is required.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in managing digital or innovation projects, including the coordination of multidisciplinary teams and planning and tracking deliverables is required.
  • Experience in conducting business analysis, including eliciting, documenting and validating requirements; business process mapping; and supporting the translation of business needs into technical specifications is required.
  • Experience in applying agile project management methodologies (e.g. Scrum) and using issue tracking tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, JIRA) is desirable.
  • Experience in outreach and partnership development, including establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with government officials, UN entities, private sector, civil society and academia, and conducting resource mobilization efforts, is desirable.
Qualifications
  • Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, management, economics or a related field.
  • A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
  • Successful completion of both degree and non-degree programs in data analytics, business analytics or data science programs is an advantage.
