Overview
The Education Officer provides technical, operational, and administrative support to education programmes within the Country Programme. The role focuses on research, analysis, programme development, and implementation to promote children's rights and educational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support programme development and planning through research, analysis, and reporting on education and development trends.
- Manage, monitor, and deliver results for education programmes, collaborating with internal colleagues and partners.
- Provide technical and operational support to government counterparts and partners on UNICEF policies and best practices.
- Build and sustain partnerships with government, national stakeholders, private sector, and IFIs.
- Support innovation, knowledge management, and capacity building initiatives.
Required Experience
- A minimum of one year of professional experience in programme planning, management, coordination and partnership in education is required.
- Experience in coordination with several actors from public, civil society and private sector is considered an asset.
- Experience in preventing and response plans of violence in schools is considered an asset.
- Experience working in a developing country is considered as an asset.
Qualifications
A university degree in one of the following fields is required: education, psychology, sociology, or another relevant technical field.
