Overview
Consultancy for communication and training on improved hygiene behaviors and healthy nutrition within targeted primary schools.
Key Responsibilities
- Design a participatory rapid assessment study.
- Carry rapid assessment in the field and present report.
- Survey and review existing materials and manuals on WASH and nutrition.
- Develop conceptual framework and outline/contents of the training manuals.
- Update the training manual for Water Companies Awareness staff.
- Update the Training of Trainers materials.
- Provide technical support in the review of materials designed by SBC for schools activities.
- Conduct relevant training workshops.
- Provide coaching for new trainers while conducting training to school teachers.
Required Experience
- 10-15 years of work experience in school-based interventions
- Trainer with health background and specific knowledge of nutrition, WASH and Social and Behavioral Change Communication
- Extensive technical competence in developing subject matter and training manuals
- Previous experience in developing and carrying participatory rapid assessment and in Monitoring and evaluation
- Ability to conduct training of trainers’ courses (TOT), with focus on behavior change communication
- Specific experience in working with governmental institutions as well as local, regional and international organizations
Qualifications
• Equivalent of postgraduate degree in relevant fields (particularly in WASH education, public health or nutrition, social/behavioral sciences)
