Overview

The Visiting Professional - Presidency - External Relations role supports the External Relations Team of the Presidency on issues relating to international relations, politics, diplomacy, and public relations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of background information ahead of the President's travel and diplomatic meetings.
  • Drafting and revision of external and internal correspondence, letters, speeches, presentations, memoranda and other requested materials.
  • Collaborating with other Court organs on various external relations activities.
  • Assisting in the conduct of other meetings involving the members of the Presidency or the external relations team of the Presidency.
  • Performing any other duties as required.
Required Experience

Candidates for a Visiting Professional placement must have at least 3 (three) years of relevant professional experience.

Qualifications

All Candidates must have a degree from a recognised university, demonstrating very good knowledge in international criminal law, public international law or international relations.

Fluency in English is required.
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of French is highly desirable. Knowledge of another official language of the Court (Arabic, Chinese, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.

Remuneration
The ICC is not able to provide participants in the Internship and Visiting Professional Programme with any remuneration, nor is it possible to provide reimbursement for expenses incurred prior, during or after the internship or visiting professional placement.
